We believe everyone will agree that the COVID pandemic has really made us much more appreciative of the way things were before the coronavirus. It was a very challenging time and continues to be a challenge, as we attempt to resume “normal” procedures. Through those challenges, we’ve learned valuable lessons (while we were blessed to be busy and healthy) and learned that Fletcher Animal Hospital was due for a much-needed upgrade on much of our infrastructure. To ensure that our mission of providing the best quality of care to our patients is met, account for the high volumes of appointments, and meet the needs for telemedicine and advanced diagnostics in-house, we’ve introduced new veterinarians, new policies, modern technology, and updated procedures.
We would like to thank our clients for their continued trust and patience as we continue to undergo some changes and transitions. Recently, Dr. Galligan has had to encounter some news in regards to his health. Dr. Galligan has a developing neurological condition in which he is losing “feel” and function in his hands, impeding on his ability to perform some surgeries and acupuncture. While this condition is not life-threatening, Dr. Galligan has had to consider the best alternative for the future and has partnered with 2 independent veterinarians, Dr. Brennan McGoldrick and Dr. Atticus Mabry. Dr. Galligan will continue to be with Fletcher Animal Hospital for years to come, but ultimately needs the support of other veterinarians to manage the hospital and provide the best quality care to your pets.
Our goal as a team is to continue the legacy of Fletcher Animal Hospital. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Aaron Taylor, who like Dr. Galligan, boasts many years of experience in surgery and in medicine. Dr. Taylor is a Florida native, who graduated from the University of Florida, and has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2003. He recently moved up to North Carolina because he enjoys the outdoor activities the city and mountains have to offer. Dr. Taylor is a proud father to his two daughters, a loving husband to his wife of 17 years, and has 2 dogs. He is our new associate veterinarian who is excited to serve our community alongside Dr. Galligan.
One of our trusted partners, Dr. Atticus Mabry is a native of South Carolina and grew up in the Upstate. He has practiced in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and has provided veterinary care to rural families in Costa Rica and Panama through a mission organization. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Clemson University and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 2015. He has a special interest in veterinary dentistry, cosmetic and soft tissue surgery, and critical care of hospitalized patients. He specializes in the growth of practices and bringing an extremely high standard of care to practices.
Another integral part of the management team of Fletcher Animal Hospital is Dr. Brennan McGoldrick. He is a native of Georgia, earning his Bachelor’s Degree and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 2008. He is very excited to join the team and grow with them.
The beloved staff and support team of Fletcher Animal Hospital who you know and know you will remain to serve you and your pets. Our goal is to better our team and services to make sure your pets are taken care of. We will keep you informed through our website, Facebook, and Instagram page. We thank you all in advance for your continued support and understanding during this transition.
With Warmest Regards,
